Working Principle

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)

The Medical Oxygen Generator operates on the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) principle, a proven technology for separating oxygen from compressed air.

  1. Air Compression: Ambient air is compressed and passes through filters to remove moisture, oil, and particulates.
  2. Air Drying: Filtered compressed air enters a refrigeration dryer and adsorption dryer to achieve low dew point.
  3. PSA Adsorption: Dry clean air enters adsorption towers filled with zeolite molecular sieve. Under pressure, nitrogen is adsorbed while oxygen passes through as product gas.
  4. Regeneration: When the adsorption tower reaches saturation, the system switches to the standby tower and depressurizes the saturated tower to release adsorbed nitrogen.
  5. Oxygen Output: Medical-grade oxygen (93%±3%) is delivered to the hospital pipeline system or oxygen storage tanks.
